Holiday Fun

It has been a long time since my mom has posted an update and there have been so many fun holidays in between. My mom and I travelled to Ohio for Halloween to visit my cousins. I had so much fun trick-or-treating in Granville and playing with my cousins. They were so nice to me even though I was a little cranky from not sleeping so well while we were there. We flew back to Colorado in time to trick-or-treat in Platte Park with my nana so I was able to get twice the amount of candy. It was great! I did get a little sick on the trip home so my mom and dad kept me away from all of my friends on Halloween, but we still had a great time.

We also had a great Thanksgiving with my grandma and grandpa from Ohio. I really liked the turkey and the cranberry sauce, but am not a huge fan of potatoes. My daddy really wants me to like them though, so I am sure we will keep trying.

The weather in Denver has been really cold and snowy. My mom and I are going a little stir crazy around the house, but luckily I don't mind playing in the snow too much. We also have so many great friends in the neighborhood to play with.

This past weekend my dad, mom and I went to the forest and picked out our very own Christmas tree. We got to cut it down and everything. It was so much fun. We were hiking around in the snow and we saw lots of horses and dogs and other kids. We are pretty sure we got the perfect tree. After we picked out our tree, we headed to the volunteer fire department where we got to see Santa. I am still not so sure about sitting on his lap, but he doesn't seem like a bad guy. I have the picture of me, my mom, and dad on his lap on my nightstand now. It is my absolute favorite thing to look at. There was a chili fundraiser there and we were able to get in the fire trucks. This was my favorite thing to do. I even got a junior firefighter sticker.

Wow!! No wonder we haven't had time to update the blog, we have been too busy having fun!

The other week my mom and I had a special visitor for the week. Baby Cash from Crusted Butte came and spent the weekdays playing with us. I have to admit I was a little jealous at first of my mom spending so much time feeding and playing with another baby, but overall it was a great week. Grandma Ott ended up flying in from Ohio to spend part of the week with us, too, so it was quite a treat! We spent a lot of time outside because the weather was so beautiful. I had a lot of fun showing Cash all of my toys and I think he had a great time at our house. We also got the chance to see Aunt Jolene on her way to Antarctica which was so great. She always makes us laugh. Here are some pictures from our week together.

I love Tuesday mornings when my mom and I wake up and run out the door to meet my friends at Einstiens bagels. The bagel shop has a great deal on Tuesdays where you get a bagel and coffee(my mom seems to like this) for only $2. We have been meeting there for a few months and have gotten to know all the nice ladies that work there. It is a great way to start the day when I get to see my friends George and George and Benji. I thought I would share a few pictures from our morning get together. We will have to take more pictures the next Tuesday though because my silly mom blocked George O. out of the picture.

Four Mile Park Pumpkin Festival

The other weekend my parents took me to a great festival. There was a place where you could make your own scarecrow, piles of hay to climb on, lots of great food and music. My mom, dad and I biked there and it was a beautiful fall day. We had a great time walking around the festival and playing in the field of pumpkins. Here are a few pictures from out trip! My mom also wanted to post a few pictures of our favorite outfit that I got for my birthday from my two aunts!

My Family Birthday Party

I had the best family birthday party! My cousins from Ohio Nate and Emma and my Aunt Lori came out on Friday with my Grandpa Ott. It was so great to see them and celebrate my birthday and their birthdays which weren't too long ago. My Uncle Jimmy was also in town one last time on his way to Antarctica. I think my grandma was really excited to have all of her babies together. We had a great pre-birthday party night catching up and singing happy birthday to everyone! On Saturday morning we spent a lot of time playing outside( it was a beautiful day) and catching up. My Uncle Hippy came to see us one last time before he left for Antarctica for a whole year!! We were so sad to see him go, but also excited for him to have such an amazing experience.
My party was in the afternoon and all of my favorite people were there. The second guests to arrive were the best present a girl could ask for! My Aunt Lauren and cousin Dylan came and surprised me for my birthday. We had NO idea they were coming. It was really exciting and such a great treat! Some other people at my party were my pop pop and nana, Grandma nd grandpa Ott, Aunt Lori and my cousins Emma and Nate, Aunt Shay and Uncle Boris, Uncle Lee and Aunt Krista, Jeremy and Sara, Eric, Lee's Mom and Dad-Craig and Ginger, Amelia, Kim and Jason. I once again loved the chocolate cake that my mom made for me. I also got so many great presents-clothes and toys and a great push toy that makes A LOT of noise from Lee and Krista. I think my mom and dad really appreciated that one! It was a great day of playing outside with my cousins and at the water table, watching football and celebrating. I am so lucky to have such a great family and lucky my mom and dad have such great friends.

Birthday with friends

WOW! Turning one is so cool! I had the best week ever filled with friends, family, parties and cake. I wish I could turn one everyday. Last week my grandma flew in on Monday from Ohio to start the week off. On Tuesday morning I woke up to a present at the end of my crib and my mom and dad told me it was my birthday. Grandma seemed really excited and she kept taking pictures of my with my presents and the balloons that appeared in our house. I got to open my first present that morning. It was really fun. I got a xylophone from my mom and dad. The rest of the day we played and I took a little nap, but I could tell that something was different today. A little bit before 4 o'clock, there was a knock on the door and my friend George was there to wish me a happy birthday. I was so happy I couldn't stop hugging him. After that, friends kept coming- Amelia, Adrian, George, Mari, Luke, Dalila, Zoe, and Will all showed up. Everyone had so much fun playing and I loved sharing all of my toys with my friends. After a little bit of playing, my mom put me in my highchair and I got to taste a little mini cupcake. It was delicious. I shoved it right into my mouth-YUMMY! I love having so many friends in the area that are all around one years old. It seems like there is always someone around to play with! I can't wait to tell you all about my family party, but my mm says it is time for bed now!

Today I got to go to the coolest class EVER! It was a mommy and me gymnastics class. There were all sorts of things to play with and on and even a pit full of foam pieces that we could jump into. I had so much fun running around and getting into everything. We also got to ride on a parachute at the end of the class which was such a blast. I am so glad my friend Will told me about the class. There are a lot of my friends from music class taking the class and so it was great to see them two days in a row. Here are some pictures from the day!

One of my favorite activities to do with my mom is to go to Music Class. We had a fun class today at my friend Caleb's house. We all get to play different instruments and sing and dance. My favorite instrument to play so far is the drum. Today we sang all about trains. It is so fun to sing and dance and play all day!! After class, I got to stay and play with my friends. Here are a few pictures from our play time.

Labor Day Fun

WOW, we have had a couple busy weeks! Last weekend was labor day and my grandma and grandpa came into town from Ohio. We had such a great time. My Grandpa Boissy came up for a barbecue and I got to show him all of my new toys and tricks. On Sunday, I spent the whole day with grandma and grandpa Ott while my mom, dad and uncle Hippy went to a football game. I guess it was a pretty important game for daddy. I dressed up in a CSU cheerleading uniform and everyone was cheering GO RAMS!!!! The next day my dad told me he was so happy because his team, CSU beat CU. I was really good for grandma and grandpa and I think they are pretty fun. The next day, we took our own trip to Boulder and went for a hike at a park called Chautauqua. It was really pretty, but very hilly. We then wandered around Pearl Street Mall which was a great time. My favorite part was the water shooting up from the ground. My mom and I played in the water and we got soaked!! I had so much fun chasing the water around. I also got a new chair from my grandparents as an early birthday present and I love it!

I also visited a new doctor this week. My new stats for almost a 1 year old are:

Height- 2feet, 5.75 inches (79%)
Weight-18lbs. 8.7 oz (15%)

Today my mom and I went to the Zoo with Sharon and my man Cruz and some of their friends from Ft. Collins. It was a great day. The zoo has been a lot more fun lately now that I can see the animals better and we had fun watching the monkeys swing around. There was even a place where my new friend got to feed some birds. It was really neat. I also got to take my first wagon ride and I loved it!! I wasn't as crazy about the carousel. The weather was beautiful today-a perfect fall-like day. Oh, and my parents think that I may have said baby today. I am really working on learning new words.
