Everyone kept telling us how crazy we were to leave the great Colorado weather. At first, we didn't think it would bother us that much, but all of this snow and rain is starting to get a little old! We did have a break in the weather the other week and were able to enjoy some nicer days. Another one of our favorite Ohio activities is a program through the local park district called Timbertots. The women who runs them is named Nora, or as she introduces herself to the kids, Nora the explorer. We have been to a few different programs one that was focused on maple sugaring and another on birds. They are really hands on programs, where Abby is collecting sap from the trees and watching it get transformed into maple syrup or using tools to recreate the functions of a birds beak. The best part about it for me is that it is a guaranteed hour of outside time where I don't have to entertain. I also think she has learned at least a little bit from each program. We also have tried to get outside even when the weather isn't as desirable even if it means we are the only ones on the playground! Connor and Abby are both much happier if they get some time outside and so are we!
