Take me out to the ballgame
We had a great time at the Indians game yesterday and the kids did so well. Abby was so excited when we woke her up from nap and told her we were going to the ballgame. She kept asking if daddy was going to play or her cousin J.J., but by the time we got to the field she was screaming GO INDIANS!!!!! Our seats were in the nosebleed section, but the weather was beautiful and the kids loved the music and energy at the game. Our only mistake was to tell Abby about the kids play area in the 6th inning. The rest of the game we spent taking turns watching her in the crazy kids playland and watching the game. The Indians are off to a great start this season and it was a lot of fun to see them pull out another victory. Go Tribe!
Playing with good friends
We have had a fun time catching up with a friend of mine from a summer camp I worked at in college and her two beautiful daughters, Kate and Paige. Abby and Kate are just a few months apart and play pretty well together. Abby considers Kate her first friend in Columbus and we are thankful for the time we get to spend with them. Paige is about six months older than Connor, isn't she adorable?
We also have had a lot of fun times in our music together class with Miss Anne. All of the kids in our class are so cute and we have really enjoyed spending time with Tatum, her brother Zach, T.J., Carter, and Sam. Miss Anne is such a great teacher and makes the class so much fun. It is such a special honor when one of the kids get to sit on Miss Anne's lap when we are singing. Abby and Zach really like to play the guitar, too. Connor seems to really enjoy music like his big sister. I love it when we turn on the radio or are around music and his whole body starts moving. It is so sweet!

Connor is 8 months old
It is hard to believe Connor is already 8 months old. Where is the time going? We are so in love with our little man. He is still the sweetest and most adorable boy we know! He is such a mommy's boy and loves to snuggle up to us and suck his thumb. We are so thankful for such an easy baby. He really does just go with the flow and adores his big sister. What Connor is doing these days:
-He is crawling everywhere! He loves to pull up on anything that he can and gets so proud of himself. It is really cute to see, the only problem is he does it everywhere. His favorite is the side of the bathtub and no matter how many times we sit him back down he manages to find the side again. He thinks it is hilarious! It makes us so nervous.
-He has a great laugh. He loves to laugh at his sister and cousins and they are always trying to entertain him. Grandma has a special dance- the Connor dance- that works magic on him when he is cranky.
-He is a pretty good sleeper, although he is a boy of routine and if the routine gets messed up he doesn't do as well.
-He is ALWAYS sucking his thumb. I think it is so adorable. I know it might be hard to break this habit at some point but for now it helps him self soothe and it is just so sweet.
-He is a big talker, always saying dada dada, but still no mama.
-He is a pretty good eater, he will try all sorts of food, but is not as ravenous as his big sister was.
We love our little guy so much and are so happy to be his parents.
Easter in Colorado
We had a nice trip to Colorado for Easter. We were hoping to get more time with friends in Denver and stay a little longer, but Connor ended up getting sick and so we left a few days early to come back to Ohio. The time we did spend with family was great. The kids and I flew in Friday and spent the night with Nana, Aunt Shay and Aunt Lauren eating pizza and catching up. On Saturday, we drove to Denver for a busy day. We went to my college roommate and dear friend Meg's daughters 4th birthday party. Abby talks about Ellie all of the time in Ohio as well as her little brother Kemper who I think she is in love with. We were so thankful to be included. The party was at build a bear and the four girls had such a great time making bears, picking out outfits for their bears and celebrating Ellie. We had lunch afterwards at Johnny Rockets and sang happy birthday to Ellie. It was such a great party.
We then went to pick up Matt who flew in Saturday morning and meet his best friend Lee and his fiancee Krista for lunch. They are two of Abby's favorite people and it was so nice catching up with them.
That night we went back to Ft.Collins for a nice Easter dinner with Nana, Shay, Boris and Aunt Lauren. It was so great to see everyone again.
Abby and Connor had a nice Easter morning and brunch. In the afternoon cousin Dylan came back from his dad's house and he and Abby had a great time looking for the eggs and baskets the easter bunny had brought them. Abby was on sugar overload by the end of the weekend. We had a great Easter dinner with poppop and aunt elaine, uncle fred and the rest of the Boissy crew. It was a busy weekend catching up with everyone, but we had a great time.
The rest of the week was a bit more relaxing with a trip to the botanical gardens and time spent with cousin Dylan, Nana, PopPop and Aunt Lauren.
We were really bummed that our trip to Denver was cut short by some car trouble and kids that didn't feel so good, but we were thankful for the time we did get to spend with family.
